9 min: Portugal build forward again, working the ball to Ronaldo, of course. He skips into the right-hand side of the box and lines up a shot. But he doesn’t catch it right and it trickles wide from 14 yards. He won’t sleep tonight.
6 min: This seems like an apt time to remind ourselves that the record for the most number of goals at a single World Cup tournament is 13, held by Just Fontaine since 1958. Back then, the Frenchman began his spree with a hat-trick in his first match and hit two in his next. You know Ronaldo knows that and is aiming to set a better pace. Morocco, normally so tight under Renard, need to smarten up at the back quickfast. And, of course, they also need to score now, preferably twice, at least.
