KATHMANDU: Himalaya International Model School defeated Wilson Academy 32-31 in the boys’ section match of the 20th Wilson Hoops Inter-school Basketball Tournament here on Sunday. Dorjee Thakuri of HIMS top scored with 10 points.
In another match, Prashant Lopchan netted nine points as Big Buddha School beat Whitefield 16-8.
In junior boys’ section match, SEB outplayed Whitefield 19-6 riding in eight points from Rajan Shrestha.
A total of 43 schools are taking part in the tournament that features four categories — boys, girls, junior boys and staff.
Earlier, Nagarjuna Municipality Mayor Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Ward Chairman Rajendra Budhathoki inaugurated the tournament.
