The IPL team Delhi Daredevils has come to Kathmandu to publicize Sandeep’s Jersey.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli initially was told to publicize the jersey, but in the presence of the National Sports Summit Keshav Bista the CEO of Delhi, Hemant Dauley publicized the Jersey.
In Delhi’s IPL, Delhi Daredevils contracted Sandeep with amount of Rs 20 lakh. He is the first Nepali cricketer to be engaged in the IPL.
According to CEO Dauley, Delhi Daredevils was following Sandeep for almost a year.
‘We took Sandeep to the private gaming center, where the kids come and play in the bowling machine,’ said CEO Dauley, “there was a half-hour sacrifice.”
He sent Sandeep’s playing video to team coach Ricky Ponting as well as Gautam Gambhiri. Dauley said, ‘Ricky Ponting liked it very much and we reached the decision to join him in the team.’
In Delhi Daredevils, Sandeep will wear No. 1 jersey. This is the number that he has chosen.
