KATHMANDU: Thamel United Group is on Wednesday leaving for Pokhara to participate in the third Kunwar Brothers and Sons National Veteran Basketball Tournament slated for February 14-16 at the Pokhara Stadium courts.
A total of eight teams will take part in the tournament and the participating sides have been divided into two groups.
Top two sides will make it to the semi-finals. Arjun Lal Pradhan will captain the two-time defending champions Thamel United.
Prashant Tamrakar, Bipin Kapali, Karma Gurung, Bipendra Maharjan, Anil Maharjan, Binod Gurung, Om Chandra Ghale, Narendra Shrestha and Sailesh Shrestha are the other players.
Coach Phanindra Shrestha and team manager Sanjeev Man Pradhan will accompany the players to Pokhara. Top two teams will receive Rs 55,555 and Rs 33,333 respectively.
