KATHMANDU: A three-member selection panel — ICC representative Aminul Islam, head coach Jagat Tamatta and skipper Paras Khadka — has picked up the 20-member squad for national team’s matches against Marylebone Cricket Club and the Netherlands.
Khadka will lead the team that will undergo training camp in Kathmandu from Saturday. Anil Kumar Sah, Basant Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Dipendra Singh Airee, Gyanendra Malla, Hari Chhetri, Karan KC, Lalit Bhandari, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Md Arif Sheikh, Pradeep Airee, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sandeep Lamichhane, Shakti Prasad Gauchan, Sharad Vesawkar, Sompal Kami, Subash Khakurel, Sunil Dhamala and Sushan Bhari are the other players in the squad.
Nepal will take on MCC and the Netherlands in the Twenty20 tri-series at the Lord’s. The International Cricket Council has granted the T20 international status to the match between Nepal and the Netherlands. — HNS
