KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Kusum Tamang lost to Mongolian boxer Delgerkhangai Khongorzul in the first round match of the AIBA Youth Boxing Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Thursday.
Tamang, who put her opponent under pressure in the first round and much of the second round, faced a 144-134 loss at the end after having her points deducted for holding the opponent despite getting the warning, informed team manager Pushkar Raj Panta.
A total of 361 boxers from 66 countries are participating in the event that concludes on August 31.
