KATHMANDU: Ratnajit Tamang and Dipesh Dhami advanced to the men’s doubles quarter-finals of the Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh International Challenge in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The Nepali pair defeated Bangladesh’s Parash Md Ahsun Habib and Gourav Singh 22-20, 21-18. Dhami teamed up with Amita Giri to advance to the mixed doubles quarter-finals.
They beat Bangladeshi pair of Al Amin Zumar and Bristi Khatun 21-14, 21-18. In men’s singles, Tamang faced 21-12, 21-12 defeat at the hands of Malaysian Zulhelmi Zulkiffli in the second round match.
The pair of Nangsal Tamang and Amita Giri has advanced to the women’s doubles quarter-finals after earning walkover from Mautitius.
