LALITPUR: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Nepal APF Club 2-1 in the Lalit Memorial U-18 Football Championship here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Monday.
Aashis Rai and Binaya Chaudhary scored one each for TAC, while Nischal Rawal replied for APF. Rai put TAC ahead in the 33rd minute before Chaudhary doubled the tally in the 53rd minute.
Rawal brought APF back into the game with a goal in the 63rd minute but TAC held on to the lead. In another match, Himalayan Sherpa Club played a goalless draw with CMG Club Sankata.
A total of 14 youth sides of ‘A’ division outfits are taking part in the tournament organised by All Nepal Football Association in memory of its acting president Lalit Krishna Shrestha, who died of electrocution at his newly-built residence.
