KATHMANDU: Jayaram Shrestha won the caddie pro section title of the RNGC Annual Caddie Competition here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Thursday.
Shrestha finished first with the score of one-over 102 in the 27- hole competition and he received Rs 8,000. Pradeep Kumar Lama and Bhuwan Kumar Rokka shared the second position at 103 and they earned Rs 5,500 each. Dinesh Prajapati was fourth at 105 and he got Rs 4,000, while Krishna Man Rajbahak and Prabhat Kumar Rajbahak shared the fifth position at 107, earning Rs 3,250 each.
A total of nine players took part in the competition and three golfers missed the cut after 18 holes. Bikash Adhikari, Bishnu KC and Kishan Kaliraj Sunar missed the cut and they earned Rs 1,000 each.
Tournament also features men and women caddies competitions. A total of 10 players will compete in women’s event on Sunday, while 27 caddies will take part in men’s tournament on Monday. The tournament is organised by RNGC Caddie Union.
