Kathmandu, April 20
Vijay Shrestha Einhaus won the title of the first edition event of the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.
Shrestha Einhaus bagged the trophy on count back after he was tied on two-under 70 with Dawa S Sherpa. Joseph Nathan finished third in nett category with the score of one-under 71.
The one-handicap golfer Shrestha Einhaus also finished at the top in gross section but he was unable to get both the awards under one-player-one-prize rule of the tournament.
Wangchen Dhondup bagged the gross section trophy with the score of even par 72. Ang Phurba Sherpa claimed the junior section trophy with the score of four-under 68.
In all, 32 golfers took part in the first edition of the event sponsored by Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd.
