LALITPUR: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Rautahat DFA 3-1 to stay alive in the title race of the Women’s Football League Tournament here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Sunday.
Sharmila Thapa netted two and Dipa Rai scored one for TAC. Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored the consolation goal for Rautahat.
While TAC accumulated nine points from three matches, Rautahat finished third with six points. TAC are tied with Nepal APF Club, who defeated Nepal Police Club 2-0 riding on goals from Anita KC and Saru Limbu. APF also have nine points following their third victory and they need a point against TAC in the last match to win the title.
A total of five teams are taking part in women’s national league which was played under single leg format.
