KATHMANDU: Varun Beverages (Nepal) Pvt Ltd is organising the Pepsi Open Golf Tournament at the Gokarna Golf Club on September 22.
Around 90 golfers will take part in the event to be played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, informed Gokarna Golf Club in a release on Tuesday. “As the event will be the season opening tournament following the monsoon break that saw a lot of rain, the Gokarna course ready to test the skill of best amateur golfers,” the release added.
The event features five categories in overall, gross, women, senior women and junior, while prizes are also up for grabs in the longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and most birdies sections. “We are happy to sponsor golf and provide opportunity for competition to the golfers.
Our association with Gokarna Forest Resort will grow towards our effort to promote the game in the years to come. And I am hopeful that this event will be a platform for competition and fun as well,” said Varun Beverages Sales Manager Pradeep Rana.
