KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Club advanced to the final of the third Chandragiri Mayor Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Naikap grounds on Tuesday.
NPC defeated Brigade Boys Club 1-0 in the semi-final match. Skipper Jumanu Rai scored the solitary goal of the match in the 81st minute after he capitalised on the miscommunication between BBC defender Padam Bhattarai and goalkeeper Saujan Rai.
The former national team striker was named the man of the match and he earned Rs 5,000.
On Wednesday, Ruslan Three Star Club will take on Nepal APF Club in the second semi-final match.
The final is slated for Saturday.
