KATHMANDU: Newcomer Brigade Boys Club (BBC) defeated Mahindra Armed Police Force (APF) 3-1 and Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Nepal Police Club (NPC) during their Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League in Kathmandu on Friday.

Although APF striker Rup Bahadur Lama opened the scoring in the hour mark but the team conceded three goals at the ANFA technical ground in Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Newly promoted BBC’s Manoj Rai levelled the scoring after three minutes and foreign recruits Tazudeen Adulune, Kazeem Adelzoke notched goals to secure all-important three points to the team.

APF were reduced to ten men in the last minute of the game after Biswas Udas was shown a straight red for a reckless challenge on the opposition player.

In other game of the day, TAC’s Bikash Khawas solitary goal was enough to defeat departmental Nepal Police Club. Khawas was later adjudged man of the match and bagged Rs 10, 000.

Meanwhile, Manang Marshyangdi Club lead the 14-team table with nine points from thee matches.
