KATHMANDU: New Diamond Academy, Tops HS School, Nepal Police Club and Nepal APF Club advanced to the semi-finals of the Hongwanji New Diamond Cup Open National Women’s Volleyball Tournament here on Thursday.
In the day’s matches, hosts NDA defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 25-23, 25-13, 25-22, while Pokhara-based Tops beat Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre 25-6, 21-25, 26-16, 25-19. Likewise, NPC outplayed Chitwan Tigress 25-17, 25-7, 25-10, while APF hammered Paramount School 25-3, 25-10, 25-15.
In semi-finals, NDA will face Tops, while NPC take on APF in all-departmental clash. Top four teams will receive Rs 301,000, Rs 201,000, Rs 101,000 and Rs 51,000 respectively.
