KATHMANDU: Sanjiv Nepali and Raju Nagarkoti won individual poomsae gold medals in the British Open Taekwondo Championship at the George H Carnell Leisure Centre in Manchester on Sunday.
Nepali won the men’s Under-40 age category title, while Nagarkoti bagged gold in men’s U-50 section. Nepali and Nagarkoti, who have been residing in Macau, represented Nepal in the championship organised by UK Taekwondo Association.
Players from hosts England, India, Ireland, Finland, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Spain, and Iceland also took part in the championship held on November 23-24.
