KATHMANDU: Nepal and Bangladesh are meeting in the match scheduled under the ongoing Under-18 Women SAFF Championship in Bhutan.
Both teams have already secured their berths in the semi-final and the team winning the today’s match will become the group winner while the remaining team will be group runners-up.
Nepal, in its first match, defeated Pakistan 12-0 with striker Rekha Thapa scoring seven goals alone while Pakistan and the Bangladeshi squad clinched the 17-0 victory against Pakistan thus securing the place in the semi-final. The match will start at 6:45 pm as per the Nepal standard time.
The Nepali team comprises Anjana Rana Magar, Usha Nath, Kabita Rai, Nisha Thokar, Sushma Maharjan, Rojina Shrestha, Samikshha Ghimire, Bimala BK, Kopila Dhimal, Punam Pharswan, Puja Rana Magar, Sharu Limbu, Manjali Kumari Yonjan, Shubhadra Khadka, Asmita Baidya, Manisha Raut, Suhani Kusuwar, Sirjana Singh Thakuri, Samjhana Lawati, Rashmi Kumari Ghising, Rekha Poudel, Alisa Jamba and Samjhana Sharma. Hari Om Shrestha is the main coach for the team while Prakash Baidya is assistant coach. Asmita Khawas is the goalkeeper coach.
