KATHMANDU: Nepal national football team played a 1-1 draw against Chinese Taipei in an international friendly match in Kaohsiung on Thursday.
Wu Chang Ching put the home side ahead in the 38th minute, while Abhishek Rijal levelled the scores in 64th minute. Rijal, who made the national team debut in the previous match of the tour against Malaysia on Sunday, ended Nepal’s six-match goal drought.
Coach Johan Kalin dropped regular skipper Biraj Maharjan and handed the captain’s arm band to goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu. Nepal had faced a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur earlier this week.
