KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a 3-1 defeat at the hands of hosts Myanmar in the second round tournament of the Asian Women’s Olympic Qualifying at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay on Wednesday.
Myanmar opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Yee Oo found the back of the nets.
Nepal skipper Niru Thapa brought the team back with an equaliser in the first half injury time.
The home side restored the lead in 50th minute after Win Theingi Tun converted from the spot.
The two sides had played a 1-1 draw in the Asian qualifiers first round tournament in November last year.
In day’s another match, India beat Indonesia 2-0.
