In an exclusive interview the Norwegian talks about rehab during a pandemic and the importance of female players fighting together

“It just snapped. Gave this click sound. In a situation you’ve found yourself in 10 times, 10,000 times before.” Ada Hegerberg felt something happen to her left knee during training, before Lyon were due to play Reims on 26 January, but she didn’t know what it was.

“I felt my body shaking. It was a signal. But then I was back on my feet and I didn’t have any pain.” With the muscles around her knee tense, making it hard for the physio and doctor to identify the issue, it would be two days before the worst was confirmed via an MRI scan.
