KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Badminton Championship began here at the Tribhuvan Memorial Hall on the premises of Tribhuvan University on Tuesday.

More than 900 players from the schools of the Kathmandu valley are taking part in the four-day championship organised jointly by Kathmandu District Badminton Association and Sports Science Department of TU under the auspices of Private and Boarding School Organisation Nepal.
The championship features five categories — U-12 and U-14 boys’ and girls’ singles and U-14 mixed doubles. Member Secretary of National Sports Council inaugurated the tournament.
