PANCHTHAR: Jhapa-XI defeated Nepal APF Club 3-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the Ruslan Falgunanda Gold Cup in Phidim on Monday.
KarnaLimbu scored a brace and DilenLoktam netted one for Jhapam while Manish Lama scored for APF.
Jhapa skipper Limbu was named the man of the match and he earned Rs 10,000.
On Tuesday, hosts Phidim Sporting Club will take on Tribhuvan Army Club in the second quarter-final match of the tournament.
A total of 10 teams are taking part in the tournament organised annually in memory of National Hero Falgunanda Lingden.
Top two teams will receive Rs 400,000 and Rs 200,000 respectively.
