KATHMANDU: The 6th edition of “Furniture and Furnishing Expo” (FURNEX) organised by Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association (NFFA) will kick-off on August 30, 2018.
The fair will feature home décor products focused on refined interior designs that match the need of people longing for a sophisticated lifestyle, organisers said.
A five-day-fair, FURNEX-2018 with an objective to promote a range of furniture and furnishing products available in Nepal, will showcase 100 stalls of domestic and foreign brands.
The major attractions of the expo will be furniture and furnishing products for the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom among others. Moreover, the fair will feature carpets, marbles, drapes, home décor products, office furniture, home appliances and machinery among others, NFFA informed.
“Apart from featuring the products, the observers will also be briefed on utility, application, techniques and design of the products,” organisers said in a statement, “The expo is expected to introduce modern furnishing techniques and help the country to gain self-sufficiency in producing furniture.”
It has been estimated that the country’s annual transaction of furniture and furnishing products stands at Rs 30 billion.
According to Chair of NFFA, Rajesh Agrawal, the expo will be an ideal place to visit to gain information on traditional as well as modern furniture.
