KATHMANDU: Nepal has kick-started its journey with a victory against Sri Lanka in the women’s football at the South Asian Games being held here.
Nepal beat Sri Lanka 1-0 at the first game of the event held at Pokhara Stadium on Tuesday. The first half saw a neck-to-neck competition between the two teams as neither could produce a goal in the first 45 minutes.
Sara Limbu ended the goalless run, with Anita KC’s pass, as the second half came to a close.
Nepal will next take on the Maldives on December 5 at 5:00 pm.
