114th over: England 300-8 (Buttler 62, Broad 33) Broad scoots back for a second run to bring up England’s 300. I’m not quite sure how this has happened, given they were 181 for seven at one stage.
113th over: England 298-8 (Buttler 62, Broad 32) Broad plays and misses at Shami. So does Buttler. I reckon Shami has beaten the outside edge 30 or 40 times in this innings without finding the edge. It’s remarkable, and that’s why I’ve just remarked upon it.
“Robbiest,” says Mac Millings. “I dont have any cricket-themed films for you, but I do know that Public Enemy’s debut album, ‘Yo! Bumrah the Show’, after an awkward opening, suddenly clicks, and blows the opposition away. Their follow-up, ‘It Takes a Nation of Kane Williamsons to Hold Us Back’, is a still-underrated gem, but my personal favourite has to be ‘Fear of an Inzamam-ul-Haq Planet’ – although superstitious fans of English cricket should avoid Track Three, ‘111 Is No Joke’.”
