KATHMANDU: Nepal and Bhutan played a 1-1 draw in the SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Nepal took lead in the 50th minute through Nikita Thokar’s goal. The home team levelled the scores in the 67th minute when Deki Lhazom found the back of the nets. Both teams had already been out of the final race after losing their first two matches of the four-nation round robin league.
Nepal suffered a 4-1 defeat against India in the opener and faced a 2-1 loss at the hands of Bangladesh in the second match.
India and Bangladesh also played a 1-1 draw in the last match on Sunday and they will face each other in Tuesday’s final.
