• England wing’s try one of four that boost Bath’s play-off hopes
Joe Cokanasiga endured a mixed return to Twickenham as Bath clinched a rare bonus-point victory over their West Country rivals Bristol. The 21-year-old hulking wing scored his third try in four matches here and first since shining in England’s Six Nations win over Italy but lasted only until half-time due to a shoulder injury.
It threatens to take the gloss off a significant win for Bath – the home team on the day – who are chasing both a top-six finish and maintain hopes of a place in the playoffs, even if Bath’s director of rugby, Todd Blackadder, is optimistic Cokanasiga will not be sidelined for long.
