KATHMANDU: Nepal APF Club defeated Pokhara Pinkage in straight sets to top Group B and advanced to the semi-finals of the Aadhi Aabadi Women’s Volleyball League along with Nepal Police Club here on Monday.

APF registered a 25-13, 25-11, 25-15 victory to accumulate six points from two matches. NPC — who had were not in action today — made it to the last four as group runners-up, while the Pinkage crashed out.

In Group A, Chitwan Tigers beat New Diamond Academy 25-19, 27-29, 25-19, 28-26 to top the pool. Both teams had already made it to the semi-finals at the expense of Tribhuvan Army Club.

In Tuesday’s semi-finals, the Tigers will play against NPC, while APF face New Diamond.

Top three teams of the league-cum-knockout tournament — jointly organised by Nepal Volleyball Association and Aadhi Aabadi Foundation of India — will receive Rs 600,000, Rs 300,000 and Rs 150,000 respectively.
