LALITPUR: A two-member Nepali team on Wednesday left for Hong Kong to participate in the Asian Cup Cadet and Junior Judo Championship. Soniya Bhatta will compete in the women’s below-44kg weight category in the competition slated for July 14-15.
Coach Sunita Magar Tamrakar also flew with Bhatta. After the event, the two will travel to Macau to take part in the Asian Cup Cadet and Junior Judo Championship scheduled for July 20-22.
Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya bade farewell to the team on Wednesday.
