KATHMANDU: Nepal will play Bhutan in the final game of men’s football today under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
The final is scheduled to kick-off at 3:00 pm.
Nepal are currently on top of the table with 10 points with three wins and one draw, followed by Bhutan collecting 9 points with three wins and one loss.
Nepal had defeated Bhutan 4-0 in the third match of the tournament in Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday, December 3.
Nepal are the defending champions of this tournament having defeated India 2-1 in 2016 SA Games held in Guwahati, India. This is the first time Bhutan has reached the finals of SAG football.
Nepal had met and defeated Bhutan 5-0 in the 12th edition of SAG. Bhutan were unable to proceed beyond league games in that edition.
