Four medals for Nepal in cycling including two gold

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Nisma Shrestha and Rajesh Magar won a gold medal each in Cycling at the ongoing 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Wednesday.

Shrestha and Magar won the medal in Men’s and Women’s cycling down-hill championship of the event that is included for the first time in SAG. The event was held at Sahid Park, Gokarna.

Similarly, Nirav Shrestha and Jamuna Thapa received silver in the event for Nepal.

In the downhill championship, a total distance of one kilometre should be completed.

Nepal, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have participated in the championship. Cycling has been included for the first time in the South Asian Games.
