KATHMANDU: Nepal national volleyball team defeated Kyrgyzstan in straight sets in their second match of the first AVC Asian Central Zone Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship campaign at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh on Monday.
Nepal registered a 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 victory to record their second straight win the five-team tournament.
With the win, Nepal moved to the top of the table with six points, while Maldives have five points. Hosts Bangladesh are third with three points, while Kyrgyzstan have one. Afghanistan are yet to open their accounts.
Nepal will face Bangladesh on Tuesday and play against Maldives on Thursday.
After the round robin league, top two teams will advance to final, while next two will play in third-place playoff match.
