KATHMANDU: A 17-member team on Friday left for China to participate in the U-19 Women’s B&R Cup Cricket Championship slated for November 11-16 in Shanghai.
A total of six teams — Nepal, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, China, Malaysia and Myanmar — will take part in the round robin tournament. Dolly Bhatta will lead the Nepali team, while Kabita Kunwar is the vice-captain.
Other members in the team are Kritika Marasini, Yashoda Bist, Shristi Jaisi, Rajmati Airee, Ishwori Bist, Laxmi Saud, Khusi Dangol, Goma Ale, Jyoti Danuwar, Ngima Tamang, Shila Regmi and Lakhita Rajbanshi. Kalam Ali (coach), Amrita Paudel (manager) and Sakuna Dani (physio) accompanied the players to China. Cricket Association of Nepal Secretary Ashok Nath Pyakuryal and other officials bade farewell to the team on Friday.
