KATHMANDU: A 12-member beach volleyball team is leaving for Sri Lanka to prepare for the upcoming 13th South Asian Games, slated for December 1-10 in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur.
Sanju Shah, Man Bahadur Shrestha, Raju BK and Dil Bahadur Sunar are in men’s team, while Binita Budhathoki, Nebika Chaudhary, Kopila Upreti and Manisha Chaudhary are in women’s squad for the SA Games.
Coaches Sudesh Rimal and Kaushila Khatri and managers Jitendra Shrestha and Sri Ram Bogati will accompany the players to Sri Lanka.
The Nepali teams will undergo training and play five matches each during their stay in Sri Lanka. The team is scheduled to return on November 13.
National Sports Council Member Secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal bade farewell to the team on Saturday.
