Sri Lanka and India advanced to the final of the first South Asian U-16 Netball Championship here at the Nepali Army Sports Complex today.
Sri Lanka defeated home side Nepal 52-15 in semi-final match. Ramdulla Gavijiya top scored in the match with 20 goals and earned the player-of-the-match award. In another semis, India beat Maldives 46- 25. The final is slated for Tuesday.
Sri Lanka and India had advanced to the semi-finals on Saturday, while Nepal and Maldives joined them in the last four today.
In the league round matches played earlier in the day, Sri Lanka defeated Nepal 53-16 to register their fourth straight victory, while Maldives beat Pakistan 36-10.
The only unbeaten side in the league round, Sri Lanka accumulated eight points, while India finished second in the table with six points.
Maldives were third with four, while hosts Nepal finished fourth with two points. Pakistan were eliminated following their fourth consecutive defeat.
