KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane has been picked to play in The Hundred franchise by Oval Invincibles at the inaugural The Hundred draft on Sunday.
The 19-year-old leg-spinner Lamichhane was signed by the Invincibles for £100,000.
Lamichhane will join his other teammates — Sunil Narine,Fabian Allen, Tom Curran, Jason Roy, Sam Billings, Rilee Rossouw, Reece Topley, Hardus Viljoen, Alex Blake, Will Jacks, Chris Wood, Nathan Sowter, Laurie Evans — to play in England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)’s new eight-team city-based competition.
The Oval Invincibles is one of the two London Franchises to play in The Hundred franchise.
The Hundred will be played from 17 July to 16 August, 2020 in 100-ball format.
