BEIJING: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is currently on China visit, has urged the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to invest in Nepal.
During a meeting with President of AIIB, Li Jiqun, at AIIB Headquarters in Beijing on Wednesday, PM Oli informed that hydropower and infrastructure developments were viable areas for investment in Nepal.
Oli also remarked that Nepal has a stable government and political stability, so there was no point in hesitating to invest there.
Taking PM Oli’s view positively, AIIB President Jiqun said they were ready to invest in Nepal and have invested in some projects as well.
