KATHMANDU: Nepal have been drawn alongside Australia and Kuwait in their second-round qualification draw of the World Cup 2022, in Malaysia, on Wednesday.
According to Asian Football Federation, Nepal are drawn in Group B with Australia, Kuwait, Chinese Taipei and Jordan.
Asia’s 40 countries have been divided into eight groups. Group winners and four best runner-up teams will qualify for the final round of qualification. Likewise, these twelve teams will secure their berth in the Asian Cup 2023.
The matches will be held in round-robin format–home and away– the first round of matches will kick-off on September 05.
