Lalitpur, June 7
Nepal Sports Journalists Forum and Jawalakhel Group of Industries today renewed the sponsorship deal for the Pulsar Sports Award.
NSJF President Durga Nath Subedi and JGI Executive Director Sashin Joshi signed the memorandum of understanding. As per the one-year deal, Ruslan Football will be the co-sponsor of the Award. JGO Executive Director Joshi lauded the efforts of NSJF in honouring the athletes and said his company was proud to be the part of the award.
NSJF President Subedi thanked the JGI for extending the helping hand and said the award programmes were conducted successfully only with the support of corporate houses. “We have been able to make it a controversy-free award and we are committed to be unbiased in the years to come,” said Subedi.
The 16th edition of the Award is slated for July 2 at Nepal Academy. It features 10 categories and the winners of male, female, coach and people’s choice will receive Pulsar NS160 motorcycle each, while the youth, para-athlete, special, lifetime achievement, team of the year and Asian journalist will get Rs 50,000 apiece.
NSJF has already signed the title sponsorship agreement with Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Pvt Lt, while National Sports Council, Nepal Olympic Committee, Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, THT LIVE, Royal Singi Hotel, Kelme Nepal, Avenues Khabar and Emaging are the other co-sponsors and partners of the award.
