NSJF signs agreement with Kelme

Kathmandu, June 6

Nepal Sports Journalists Forum today signed the agreements with Kamaru Trading Pvt Ltd and Avenues Khabar for the Pulsar Sports Award slated for July 2 at the Nepal Academy.

NSJF President Durga Nath Subedi, Managing Director of Kamaru Trading Uttam Neupane and CEO of Avenues Khabar Samriddhi Rajkarnikar exchanged the memorandum of understanding.

As per the agreement, Kamaru Trading, the authorised sole distributors of Kelme products in Nepal, will be the clothing partner of the NSJF, while Avenues Khabar will be the broadcasting partner.

Neupane thanked the NSJF for providing them with the opportunity to join hands for the prestigious award programme of the country. “I hope the association will grow in the days to come,” he added.

Kelme is also the partner of Nepal national football team and Manang Marshyangdi Club among others.

National women’s football team striker Sabitra Bhandari, who is also one of the five nominees in the People’s Choice category of the Award, launched the official website the Kelme Nepal on the occasion.

Likewise, Avenues Khabar CEO Rajkarnikar lauded NSJF’s efforts in honouring the athletes through the award programme.

“We are delighted to renew our partnership and we want to make every step count for the benefit of the athletes,” she added.

NSJF President Subedi thanked both the partners of the Pulsar Sports Award and said the support of corporate houses was important.

“We have reached to the highest level in terms of organising award programme and it was possible only with the support of business community,” Subedi added.

The 16th edition of the Award features 10 categories and the winners of male, female, coach and people’s choice will receive Pulsar NS160 motorcycle each, while the youth, para-athlete, special, lifetime achievement, team of the year and Asian journalist will get Rs 50,000 apiece.

NSJF has already signed the title sponsorship agreement with Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Limited, while National Sports Council, Nepal Olympic Committee, Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, Dish Media Network, Royal Singi Hotel and Emaging are other co-sponsors and partners.
