28.4 overs: England 167-1 (Roy 83, Root 28) There are umbrellas raised and rain falling. It looks like it will be a brief downpour (the skies have been blue all day, before these clouds pitched up from nowhere), but it’s still extemely wet. The umpires play on for a bit, but then give up.
28th over: England 167-1 (Roy 82, Root 27) That’s another lovely shot from Roy, who sends the ball arcing over extra cover again. He’s rapidly catching up with run-a-ball pace.
