Yonex-Singha-Roza-BTY Junior International Challenge

Nepal’s Prince Dahal returns to Vikash Yadaav of India during their U-17 boys’ singles match of the Yonex-Singha-Roza-BTY Junior International Challenge in Bangkok on Saturday.

KATHMANDU: Nepali shuttler Prince Dahal advanced to the U-17 boys’ singles final of the Yonex-Singha-Roza-BTY Junior International Challenge in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.

Dahal defeated Vikash Yadav of India in straight sets of 21-9, 21-13 to make it to the championship match where he will face another Indian player, Pranav Rao Gandham on Sunday.

Dahal, who won the U-17 singles title of the Dubai International Series last year, had advanced to the semifinals with 1 21-13, 21-14 victory over third-ranked Thai shuttler Natthapee Sriaunluck in the quarter-final match earlier on the day. A total of 256 players from 22 nations took part in the championship.
