SURKHET: Karnali and Nepal APF Club won their matches of the second Wai Wai Karnali Premier League in Surkhet on Saturday. Karnali defeated Midwest Cricket Club by 31 runs for their second win in Group A.
Batting first, Karnali posted 148-4 in 20 overs before restricting Midwest to 117-7. Karnali skipper Rabindra Jung Shahi top scored with 61 off 56 balls, while Krishna Karki scored an unbeaten 46 off just 27 balls.
Man-ofthe-match Karki returned to pick 3-11, while Kisor Mahato grabbed two wickets for Karnali. Shailendra Yadav top scored for Midwest with 31 runs.
In another match, APF beat Himalayan Cricket Academy by 84 runs. APF scored 192-2 before restricting Himalayan to 108 runs.
