Kathmandu, April 24
Amateur golfer Tanka Bahadur Karki maintained the lead after the third round of the Surya Nepal NPGA Tour Championship at the Gokarna Golf Club here today.
Karki played a round of one-over 73 to post the 54-hole total of threeunder 213 and he was two strokes ahead of home club pro Deepak Acharya, who carded one-under 71. Bhuwan Nagarkoti was fourth at one-over 217 after he played twoover 74.
Sanjay Lama (70), Rabi Khadka (73) and amateur Bipin Tamang (73) were tied for fifth with the total score of three-over 219. Krishna Man Rajbahak (73) and Surya Prasad Sharma (76) shared the eighth place at fiveover 221.
The event, eighth under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2018-19, carries a purse of Rs 661,500 and top three pros will receive Rs 120,000, Rs 77,000 and Rs 55,000 respectively.
