KATHMANDU: NCL Sports Pvt Ltd announced the teams, marquee players and schedule of the NCL Women’s T20 Cricket League here on Monday.
Four teams — Biratnagar Roaring Lioness, Bhairahawa Queens, Dhangadhi Wonder Women and Kathmandu Super Champions — will take part in the franchise-based Twenty20 cricket tournament slated for April 20-27 at the Baijanath grounds in Biratnagar.
National team captain Rubina Chhetry Belbashi is the Marquee player of Bhairahawa, while vice-captain Sita Rana Magar will lead Dhangadhi. Likewise, former captain is marquee player of Kathmandu and Karuna Bhandari belongs to Biratnagar.
Top two teams will earn one million rupees and Rs 500,000 respectively.
The teams will be formed through auction in a couple of days.
The organisers have set the base amount of Rs 40,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 for grade A, B, C players respectively.
