KATHMANDU: In the opening fixture of the T20 International series, the hosts, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set a target of 154 runs at the loss of six wickets against Nepal at the ICC Academy in Dubai today.
Nepal won the toss and invited the hosts to take the first strike, before folding them for 153/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Shaiman Anwar top-scored for UEA with 59 runs off 38 balls including five hit to the fence and two towering sixes. Muhammad Usman, CP Rizwan and Mohammad Boota contributed 30, 22, 20 runs respectively.
Nepali bowlers Sandeep Lamichanne, Basanta Regmi took two wickets each. Spearhead Sompal Kami and Abinash Bohara chipped in with a wicket each.
