• Ben Te’o scores try on first start for Warriors
Saracens return to winning ways but without the emphatic response they would have wanted. A failure to claim a bonus point means they stay in second place behind Exeter going into the new year and truth be told they deserved nothing more. David Strettle’s try eventually made the match safe but this will not be one for the end of season highlights reel.
Indeed, Worcester were well worth their 14-0 lead early in the first half – Ben Te’o scoring the second try on his first club start of the season – and Saracens were forced to roll up their sleeves to inch their way back into the match. There was nothing polished about this performance but they always have their power to rely on. Worcester, meanwhile, can feel aggrieved that all that effort yielded not even a bonus point.
