Kathmandu, November 12

SS Events Pvt Ltd is organising the fifth edition of the Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes at the Tribhuvan University from November 26 to December 1.

A total of 24 corporate teams will take part in the five-over-a-side cricket tournament, informed SS Events Chief Executive Officer Raman Shiwakoti at a press meet today. The participating teams will be divided into eight groups and top two sides each from all pools after the round robin matches will make it to the round of 16. “SS Events came up with the concept of the tournament to bring out the recreational value to build the relationship among various corporate houses,” said Shiwakoti, who is also the technical Analyst and Team Manager of the national cricket team. He also thanked the sponsors and supporters for making the event a grand success in each edition. “With the event, we believe that SS Events is making contribution in the development of cricket in the country,” said Shiwakoti.

Shiwakoti also urged the corporate houses to come forward to invest in cricket. “Many corporate houses have signed cricketers as their brand ambassadors but there are still many players who need support,” he added.

Deputy CEO of Century Bank, Jeevan Bhattarai lauded SS Events for conducting the tournament successfully. “Like in previous edition, we are the main sponsors of the event and one of the participants of the tournament. We have been supporting the tournament as we want to make a little contribution to Nepali cricket from our side and we hope to continue in the days to come,” said Bhattarai. As the main sponsors of the event, Century Bank has been providing the SS Events with Rs 900,000 per year. Century Bank COO Ranjan Khadka was also present on the occasion.
