Two people have died in Birtamod Municipality of Jhapa due to the attack on wild elephants. According to the Area Police Office, Birtamod, 65-year-old Chenggra Rajbanshi of Birtamod-3 Bista Bazaar and 70 years old Lasune Maiya from ward no.7 has died. They were both attacked at the beautiful Nitazhoda community forest in Bartamod 7.
They two were killed in the spot of incident at Birtamod, Police Officer Krishna Koirala said. According to the police, the grass has been attacked by the elephants during the time of burning of grass.
