KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank is set to issue Treasury bill worth Rs 4 billion.
The central bank will be issuing treasury notes worth Rs 2 billion with a maturity period of 91 days and another two billion rupees worth of notes for a period of one year, according to a notice issued here today.
The 91-day treasury bill will mature in the third week of coming January while the 12-months bill in October next year.
The treasury bill are normally maturity promissory note issued by a government as a primary instrument for regulating money supply and raising funds via open market operations.
